Hello again SkepsisNation, and welcome to another installment of Cheap Thoughts, grumpy sofa-based scribbles from a 19th Century Refugee, noticer and analyst.

Welcome to another installment of Cheap Thoughts, grumpy sofa-based observations by a 19th Century Refugee not really enjoying my front-row seat for The Apocalypse.
I’m having fun reviewing the history of this Substack, and continue to be surprised by its growth. From just 17 subscribers when today’s restack was originally published, Cheap Thoughts has now shattered the glass ceiling of 200 — currently at 226 subs and over 1000 follows!
From the post:

These revisits are also a reminder to me that I have unfulfilled promises in the queue:
Still in incubation is a series on monetary history…stacks in this series will begin with a discussion of what I call “Fake Money,” including “Money Is A Proxy For Manhours” and the “Truck System.”
Considering that this is one of my primary concerns, I will bring further effort to bear…it’s a topic so huge I hardly know where to begin!
